This is for women in the workforce and their managers who want to understand more about how to support women facing menopause in their workplace.

About - Menopause training in the workplace is important for promoting a supportive, inclusive, and understanding environment. It benefits both employees and the organisation by addressing the specific needs associated with menopause, fostering a positive workplace culture, and contributing to the overall well-being and productivity of the workforce. This workshop is designed to inform and encourage discussion about the menopause for women in the workplace and their line managers. The focus throughout relates to the impact the menopause has on life, work and relationships.  The sessions are informal and interactive and include education, information and management strategies based on the latest research.

Workshop content - Join our training workshop with Dr Gillian Smith to learn how menopause can be supported effectively in the workplace.

  4. Creating a Supportive Workplace Culture -Gain insights into fostering a positive and inclusive workplace that supports individuals experiencing menopause, promoting diversity, and enhancing team dynamics.

  5. Legal Compliance and Ethical Considerations -  Understand the legal and ethical aspects related to menopause in the workplace, ensuring organizational compliance and reinforcing a commitment to fair employment practices.

About Dr Gillian Smith

Dr Gillian Smith

Dr Gill Smith ( she/her) is a Chartered Psychologist and is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). 

Dr Gill Smith ( she/her) is a Chartered Psychologist and is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). She completed a Professorial Doctorate in Health Psychology in 2019 at Staffordshire University.

Gill leads the menopause series at Healthy You Ltd.  She has experience of supporting organisations to develop menopause awareness in the workplace for employees and support managers/directors to consider how best to support their staff with this. Gill runs workshops and also offers bespoke training for organisations.

Gill has a nursing background and over thirty years’ experience working in public and private health care settings in administrative and management roles. She has experience in developing and delivering innovative training programmes for healthcare professionals and has delivered consultancy projects for the NHS and private sector health care organisations.

Currently, in addition to her role at Healthy You Ltd, Gill is an Associate Tutor for University of Essex Online, teaching on the psychology undergraduate programme and is involved with academic module content development and quality assurance for the university.  She works independently as a consultant, providing teaching, training, behavioural interventions, service evaluations and collaborating on academic research proposals.
