Coach and Leadership Mentor

Tim is an ILM level 7 qualified, highly experienced coach and leadership mentor, whose aim is to help individuals to be their best and find fulfilment in all that they choose to do in life and work. He helps clients to change their focus from their issues and problems to exploring solutions, that enable them to move forward successfully.  

Tim uses a creative and flexible approach, making sure people think about issues from different perspectives. He uses a variety of tools and techniques, including those drawn from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Tim is calm and empathetic, encouraging clients to utlise their strengths and skills and to make informed and brave decisions. Tim brings substantial experience of the health, social care, not-for-profit and public sector and has also worked with corporate clients.  

Tim coached and mentored GP practice managers in recent national NHSE programmes and currently works as an associate trainer with the Health Coaching Academy, training health staff to use coaching skills with patients.  

Tim has also coached at CEO and senior executive level and has worked with senior leadership teams. During 9 years as a professional coach and mentor, Tim has built up 2000+ hours’ experience.  

Tim has worked as a mentor on the national Help to Grow programme, working with SME business leaders to innovate and grow their organisations sustainably. 

As an associate with The Career Coach, Tim works with senior leaders, to help them plan their careers or transition to a different career path. In this role, he has also provided training in the corporate sector on confident personal and career development planning. 

Tim has produced and provided tailored training in coaching skills for management teams in both the not-for-profit and commercial sectors, the aim of which is to encourage senior managers to adopt more of a coaching approach when managing staff. 

As a senior manager in the housing association sector, Tim coached and supported managers and staff at different levels to develop their careers and gain promotion. Tim also led on the customer service strategy for an award-winning regional housing provider, rolling out customer service excellence to a staff team of 450, through training and coaching team leaders. 

Tim holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome and currently works with autistic university students, assisting them to navigate their studies successfully.  

Tim also has a voluntary role as an advisor to the board of Yes2Ventures, a social enterprise in Sheffield, working to assist those disadvantaged in the labour market, to access education, training and employment opportunities.
