Rehana Hussain
Chartered Psychologist
Rehana has practiced as a Health Psychologist for over 12 years in the NHS and private sector. She predominately works with adults, providing support for trauma and long-term conditions, offering assessment, advice and therapy. Rehana has substantial expertise in working with people with chronic conditions or life limiting conditions. She is experienced in delivering Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals with adjustment difficulties.
Rehana works as an accredited Psychotherapist and applies CBT Techniques to support individuals with a range of disorders including long covid, depression, anxiety, panic disorder and OCD by making sense of their situations and supporting them to move forward in life.
Rehana has recently qualified in delivering EMDR therapy, which is effective for mood disorders as well as PTSD and complex PTSD.
As well as providing therapeutic support, Rehana has applied her expertise in designing and delivered bespoke training programmes for Allied Health Professionals on pain management and behaviour change, applying trauma informed approaches in MDT settings.
Rehana is a professional member of the British Psychological Society, Division of Health Psychology. Her work is regulated by the Health Care and Professions Council. She also belongs to the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Rehana receives regular supervision to make sure her work is clinically safe and undertakes frequent CPD.
