Peer to Peer Programmes

Gill very quickly assessed what style worked best for me and adapted her sessions accordingly.  As a target driven individual I found her mini objectives fabulous to work towards for my own self-care. Gill is empathetic with a fabulous rapport, and met my needs totally.

Jan was most welcoming and generously shared her wealth of knowledge, skills and experience with our group. Her expertise in psychological approaches to trauma, and more specifically to working with birth trauma, was evident.

Karen uses her coaching and counselling skills to great effect, in helping you recognise your strengths, your goals and priorities for life and work.

Karen has a collaborative approach, working with us to shape the programme but also very receptive to feedback from us, making adjustments in delivery where necessary. She is very supportive and encouraging with delegates, drawing on a range of experience and expertise.

I really appreciated the range of support provided by Dr Barker. She was proactive and professional, and I like the way she suggested and explained approaches used to tackle various issues. 

Sarah has been very helpful and life changer. I strongly recommend her.

Jan brings such warmth, understanding, patience and empathy to her work. She truly listens to her clients’ needs and I have witnessed first-hand the way in which she improves the lives of all those she touches.

Mike is extremely skilled and astute in his assessment and management of complex situations and works in a collaborative and supportive way with clients, families and other professionals. His ability to engage with others in often challenging circumstances is exemplary.

I feel through this process Sue has given me time, wisdom, encouragement, gentle challenge and clarity of vision.

Acting as more than just a sounding board, Sue was there to gently challenge and question my long-held assumptions. She inspires trust due to her projected integrity, calm demeanour and innate compassion.

Working with Sue has enabled me to acknowledge the strengths and development areas, to feel confident in all scenarios. I was able to stretch myself outside the ‘comfort’ zone and to share these techniques with others.

I had no prior knowledge or experience of brain injury. The entire workshop was information, well explained and very useful. Examples, case studies and demonstrations were effective at putting new knowledge into context.

Thank you so much Jan for organising, coming to Barnsley and delivering such an interesting workshop yesterday. As ever this was thought provoking, relevant and helpful for improving the care we provide for women.

This has been a great way to solidify some of the knowledge I have gained in a more senior post so far 3 and a bit months with Crispin.
