Self-referrals

Healthcare Professionals

A significant incident at work can negatively impact on the physical and psychological health of staff. For example, in maternity services, midwives have been identified as scoring high levels of burnout, stress, anxiety and depression (Hunter et al., 2019). Similarly, obstetricians and gynaecology staff can also experience work-related trauma and many have clinical levels of PTSD symptoms (Slade et al., 2019). A workforce experiencing high levels of burn out, stress, and work-related trauma symptoms results in higher numbers of women receiving depersonalised and potentially compromising care.

We have experience in providing confidential psychological support to staff experiencing:

  • Burnout
  • Stress
  • Work-related trauma
  • Litigation or complaint proceedings
  • Anxiety/depression

Clients

We also accept self-referrals from clients who would like psychological support with any of the following:

  • Stress Management
  • Traumatic birth/loss
  • Psychological adjustment
  • Chronic Pain
  • Issues relating to weight-management
  • Long term conditions
  • Difficulties adhering to medication
