Neurorehabilitation & MDT Consultation

Neurorehabilitation & MDT Consultation

We have a strong reputation in providing effective, client-centred rehabilitation for those suffering from an acquired brain injury. Alongside supporting survivors directly, with neurorehabiliation and therapy, we also provide support to their families and friends, if required. We strongly believe our role is to help survivors, their families and teams not only understand their difficulties, but also empower them to be as independent as possible.

Mike has substantial experience in successfully supporting extremely complex cases, where client’s might be perceived as being ‘hard to engage’. Mike also provides MDT consultation, and helps teams manage some of the challenges of supporting clients with complex needs.

Testimonials

I have worked with Mike for over ten years and on each occasion have found him to be insightful, skilled and client focussed.  Mike is supportive of colleagues and also prepared to ask the difficult questions where this is in the best interest of the clients. Mike’s commitment to achieving the very best outcomes is clearly the driving force behind his work.

Louise Sheffield, Director Active Case Management.

I have worked with Mike over several years. He is extremely skilled and astute in his assessment and management of complex situations and works in a collaborative and supportive way with clients, families and other professionals. His approach is thoughtful, calm, empathic and non-judgmental and his ability to engage with others in often challenging circumstances is exemplary.

I have worked with Mike Smith over many years in the context of him supporting my clients and their families. Mike has a hugely impressive CV of clinical experience and his engaging and personable approach has resulted in many successes including in complex cases where it has initially been difficult to introduce neuropsychological support. In the context of an MDT setting Mike works very well in partnership with others offering advice, guidance and support to the team and ensuring there is close communication to provide the best possible platform for optimum rehabilitation outcomes for clients.
