Introduction to Human Factors in Healthcare Workshop
Our one day introduction to Human Factors course provides attendees with a better understanding of Performance Influencing Factors in themselves and in those around them.
A key objective to Human Performance is to equip the workforce with a range of non-technical skills that complement professional and technical competency and include teamwork, situational awareness, decision making, communication and workload and fatigue management.
Human Performance training enhances performance through an understanding of the effects of teamwork, tasks, equipment, workspace, culture and organisation on human behaviour in professional settings.
All staff need to recognise that human error is inevitable and that cooperative and collaborative teams are the greatest asset to achieving safety and high reliability in complex or hazardous work environments. At all levels within the workforce there should be an understanding of the human causes of error and an ability to take a more proactive approach to the avoidance, trapping and mitigating of errors.
The one day course provides foundational knowledge in Human Performance through real-life case studies and experiential learning.
